As a satellite office for the Michigan Small Business Technology and Development Center, JEBA
offers free and low-cost services to current and prospective
small business owners. We offer the following:
Vision To Reality Business Basics Seminar “How To Start a Business: From Vision to Reality”. 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Get help with the details of starting a business. Learn what steps to take to get your business up and running smoothly and successfully. Receive “How to Start a Small Business” Michigan business start up guidebook. The SBTDC program is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Association. All MI-SBTDC programs or co-sponsored programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least 2 weeks in advance. Training offered the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the JEBA office. Small Business Administration (SBA) Financing Roundtable:
JEBA is proud to host a series of Financing Roundtables, led by TEAM SBA which is comprised of a small business banker, SBTDC business consultant and a SBA loan specialist. You will learn how loan applications are reviewed and what you can do to improve your chances of receiving the financial assistance you need. Get honest, clear answers and the resources needed to take the next steps in making your dream a reality.
Session dates are: September 19, December 13, March 13 and June 12. All sessions will be held at JEBA, 9 AM – 11 AM. Free and open to the public. However, advance registration is required. For more information, call Robin Duncan at 313.331.7939 ext. 301.
Free one-on-one business counseling:
Call the JEBA office to schedule an appointment with our SBTDC business consultant. Services include business plan creation, strategic planning and applying for business loans.
On-site Business Resource Library:
Our on-site Business Resource Library offers a wealth of information such as: funding and financing sources, research books on how to start or improve a variety of businesses and aids in writing a business plan.
