City of Detroit Virtual Community Meeting-Co-Design Lenox Ctr & AB FordPark, June 30th

Dear Residents and Community,

The City of Detroit Parks and Recreation Division, like the rest of the country, has paused to reflect on what is important to the communities we serve. Although we find ourselves living in unprecedented times, we are also challenged and committed to robust community engagement that centers community voices, while still keeping everyone safe during COVID-19.

We invite you to join the City of Detroit, Tuesday, June 30th 5:30 pm- 7 pm for a virtual community meeting to co-design the Lenox Center and Alfred Brush Ford Park.

The meeting will serve as a kick-off to the project, with more events planned for engaging community conversations. You can join the meeting via zoom, or using a phone to call 1-267-831-0333, with meeting ID: 918 1582 7787. The meeting information will always be available on the project website found below.

** Please register to participate here .

We value your voices and we want to hear them as we continue the City’s vision to strengthen our neighborhoods. Through the Strategic Neighborhood Fund and philanthropic donors we are able to begin implementing projects. Now is the time to make sure we work together to create assets that are reflective of the community, and serve residents’ needs.

HELP SHAPE YOUR PLAY!

In addition to the community meeting, we encourage you to take this survey, which is one tool we are using to gather input. We are excited and honored at the opportunity of working together to foster better community spaces for Detroiters.

For more information and project updates, please visit www.detroitmi.gov/abfordlenox and follow on these social media platforms at @DetroitParksRec and @ABFord.Lenox. A project hotline has also been set up at: 313-473-0502 that will have project information updated weekly.

Please help us spread the word about the project by sharing this news with all your neighbors!
